We are dropping Sydney Cloud Server pricing by 33% to support even stronger growth in Australia

Sydney data centre

In March 2021, we announced the opening of AU-SYD1 in Sydney, our first data centre in Australia. After a successful launch, we want to make our Sydney data centre even more competitive and introduce more users to the world’s fastest cloud.

As a result, we are lowering the regional prices. Starting today, we offer the same premium cloud platform but with an even higher price-to-performance ratio for our Oceanian customers.

Local data centre for high-performance

Our Sydney data centre is located in Equinix’s flagship Sydney data centre SY5, which belongs to the locally most networked data centre campus. With 9,220 cabinets when fully built, it is the largest Equinix data centre in Australia and meets all the highest security and reliability standards.

The data centre provides the same exceptional performance as our 11 other data centres and geographical proximity to Australia and Oceania makes it extremely fast for local businesses. It also features AMD EPYC processors with even more CPU cores and increased performance compared to the previous Intel generations.

New price. Same exceptional service.

Starting today, all Simple plans, Simple Backups, and Flexible plans in the Sydney data centre match our worldwide prices. We continue to offer the same simple, predictable pricing model: enjoy our quality service with 100% uptime SLA and 24/7 technical support as standard.

We’ve been happy to see the strong uptake in our Sydney data centre right from the launch. However, we want to help even more customers in Australia to run their services on the world’s fastest cloud servers by cutting our prices by 33%.
