The mobile games industry has been growing fast much thanks to the booming smartphone market. Already, games represent the majority of the app store revenue across the platforms, and the industry is expected to grow from $50 billion in 2016 all the way up to $105 billion in 2021 as reported by the UK Interactive Entertainment. With nearly 1500 active mobile games companies in the UK alone, there is clearly an audience for a conference such as the Pocket Gamer Connects.

Pocket Gamer Connects in London 2018 on their 5th year brings together the large and the small from over 55 countries. Focusing on key issues in the mobile games industry from tech to culture, they have nearly everything. At the event, you’ll find the whole industry represented by 45+ hours of content, 140 speakers, and more than 800 companies to connect with. And one of these companies attending this year is us!

We at UpCloud are excited to take part in supporting the growth of mobile gaming by being a sponsor for the conference. As many of us are gamers ourselves, we know the importance of latency-free online experience. What better way to help new mobile games to achieve this than by providing the developers with the best cloud performance available.

UpCloud gets strong representation at the conference, both on the event floor and on the stage. Our CEO Antti Vilpponen is taking part in the talks on the opening day. Don’t miss the chance to see him in action at the Live Ops Power Panel.
