[Helsinki, 9.12.2021] UpCloud, the European leader in high-performance cloud hosting, announces new prices in its Sydney data centre, AU-SYD1.

UpCloud opened its first data centre in Australia in March 2021, and after great local growth, it is now lowering the regional prices to offer an even higher price-to-performance ratio for its customers.

UpCloud’s Sydney data centre is located in Equinix’s flagship Sydney data centre SY5, which belongs to the locally most networked data centre campus. With 9,220 cabinets when fully built, it is the largest Equinix’s data centre in Australia and meets all the highest security and reliability standards.

We’ve been happy to see the strong uptake in our Sydney data centre right from the launch. However, we want to help even more customers in Australia to run their services on the world’s fastest cloud servers by cutting our prices by 33%.

Antti VilpponenCEO, UpCloud

The data centre provides the same performance as UpCloud’s 11 other data centres, and geographical proximity to Australia and Oceania makes it particularly fast for local businesses. It also features the AMD EPYC processors with even more CPU cores and increased performance compared to the previous Intel generations.

The new prices are in effect as of today and match UpCloud’s worldwide pricing. Furthermore, UpCloud continues to offer the same pricing model for all their services, including the 100% uptime SLA and 24/7 technical support as standard.
