Walkbase Wins 5000€ Of Free Hosting From UpCloud At Slush Conference

Slush - Northern Europe's largest startup eventUpCloud was proud to partner with Slush this year to host their website and be also present at the venue with a conference stand. We were told that the Slush website had constantly, at least, 500 people online during the two days, in addition to the massive hype that the event created globally. The event attracted some 5000 people on both days, including hundreds of investors and journalists.

UpCloud was present at the event with a conference stand where we gave demos of our platform and signed up lots of new companies. The opportunity this year was that one of the trial users would win 5000 euros worth of free hosting on UpCloud. The winner of our competition this year was Walkbase!

Walkbase is a retail analytics company, delivering real-time customer insights for brick-and-mortar retailers. Walkbase works with retailers to increase sales, optimise the performance of their marketing operations by measuring foot traffic, window conversions, visit durations and customer loyalty. Just recently, the company raised €3M from leading investors to fuel their growth.
