Restrictions on accounts

UpCloud is committed to complying with international sanctions and export control regulations. As such, we do not provide services to individuals or entities listed on international sanctions lists or located in countries or regions subject to sanctions.

This includes, but is not limited to, the following countries:

  • Russia
  • Belarus
  • Crimea region of Ukraine
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Cuba
  • Syria

We are also unable to accept payments from financial institutions, banks, or card issuers located in sanctioned regions. This may result in failed payment attempts, account suspension, or denial of access.

To ensure compliance with international sanctions, UpCloud uses a combination of automated and manual verification techniques. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • The origin of payment methods, such as the issuing country of credit or debit cards
  • IP address geolocation
  • Phone number country codes
  • Other commercially and legally available data sources and risk signals

These checks help us enforce legal obligations and maintain platform integrity. Attempts to bypass these controls may result in account suspension or termination.

If your account has been suspended due to these restrictions and you think this was a mistake, please contact our Abuse Team. They will review your case and may reactivate your account after successful verification.
