We are thrilled to announce that for a few months now, we\u2019ve had the absolute privilege to welcome a top-notch sales leader and inspirational figure, Alex<\/a>, who has joined UpCloud as our new Chief Revenue Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex, coming to us from his successful tenure as VP of Sales at Hoxhunt, is by no means a stranger to scaling growth and capturing momentum in fast-paced tech environments. Of course, his r\u00e9sum\u00e9 will speak volumes for itself, but the thing that sets Alex apart is his systematic approach, humility, and profound dedication to enabling others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driven by purpose and deep caring<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When asked what drew him to UpCloud out of all places he could\u2019ve continued his career at, Alex didn’t lead with market metrics or business models. Instead, his focus was deeply personal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The people that I met in the process. The deep founding story set the stage for the passion that people describe; it\u2019s so profound. I\u2019m excited about the innovation we enable for other companies. The groundbreaking products and services they build on top of our infrastructure, and how we\u2019re able to promote their success.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, UpCloud is essentially zooming to its roots: in Finland and in the Nordics, empowering our businesses and enabling the launch of new business ventures on affordable<\/a> and data-sovereign<\/a> infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enabler: investing in people<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alex’s driving force in sales is not only about chasing quotas; it\u2019s about impact and improvement. His background as a competitive athlete shines through in his belief in daily effort: being the best version of yourself every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This competitive spirit is entirely channeled towards supporting his team. Alex finds his greatest reward in the achievements and growth of his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His fundamental values for building a successful sales organization have a lot to do with, first of all, creating a safe space: being open and honest, creating an environment where people are not afraid to fail. Equally essential is to have focus and discipline, to keep the mission<\/a> very clear. Last but not least, is to enable growth. This means upskilling, coaching, and sharing knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex also states that it\u2019s important to make sure people have the exact set of responsibilities that enable them to shine, bringing out the best in each individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his words, he is here to build a team where “Everyone knows what to do even without me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
