CloudFest 2025: A Week of Innovation, Networking, and Fun.

Posted on 1 April 2025

We had the incredible opportunity to be part of CloudFest 2025, the world’s leading cloud computing conference, held at Europa-Park, Germany from March 17-20. This year’s event was nothing short of spectacular, bringing together industry experts, thought leaders, and innovators to discuss the future of cloud technology.

Here’s our take on the week:

What’s CloudFest all about?

CloudFest is the world’s largest cloud computing event, bringing together cloud service providers, software companies, and IT professionals to explore the latest in cloud technology. This year featured hundreds of speakers, cutting-edge tech showcases, and countless opportunities to connect with the global cloud community.

CloudFest 2025: Key Themes & Trends

CloudFest is all about shaping the future of cloud technology, and a few key themes stood out this year:

Multicloud Adoption

Organizations are increasingly embracing multicloud strategies to enhance flexibility, optimize costs, and prevent vendor lock-in. By distributing workloads across multiple cloud providers, businesses can improve resilience, avoid service disruptions, and tailor solutions to specific performance and regulatory needs. The trend is also fueled by the rise of cloud-agnostic tools that simplify orchestration and management across diverse environments.

AI-Powered Cloud

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation continue to revolutionize cloud operations, enabling smarter resource management, enhanced security, and predictive scaling. AI-driven insights help optimize cloud infrastructure, detect anomalies before they become critical issues, and automate routine tasks—allowing teams to focus on innovation rather than maintenance. As AI models become more sophisticated, their integration into cloud services is set to unlock new efficiencies and capabilities.

Sustainability in Cloud

With growing concerns over energy consumption and environmental impact, sustainability has become a top priority for cloud providers. Companies are investing in energy-efficient data centers, leveraging renewable energy sources, and optimizing hardware utilization to reduce carbon footprints. Discussions at CloudFest highlighted the push for greener cloud solutions, transparent sustainability metrics, and regulatory initiatives aimed at making cloud computing more eco-friendly.

These themes underscore the evolving landscape of cloud technology, where innovation, efficiency, and sustainability converge to shape the future of digital infrastructure. As businesses continue to navigate this dynamic space, staying ahead of these trends will be key to maintaining a competitive edge.

What we got up to at CloudFest

We teamed up with our partner Elemento Cloud this year to sponsor some fun experiences at the event, kicking off our CloudFest presence by hosting a relaxed networking happy hour at Elemento’s space at the event. With great conversations, drinks, and shared insights, it was the perfect way to set the tone for the days ahead!

The following day, our very own Lead Product Manager, Juha-Pekka Järvenpää, took the stage to be part of an insightful panel discussion on multicloud strategies. It was a great opportunity to explore how businesses can optimize their cloud infrastructure by choosing European options, listening to the market’s needs while ensuring flexibility, security, and efficiency.

To wrap up our CloudFest experience we hosted an exciting raffle with Elemento on the last day of the event, where three lucky winners walked away with exclusive swag boxes and a LEGO DeLorean! It was a fun way to celebrate the event’s success and thank everyone who connected with us and Elemento during the event.

A Huge Thank You!

CloudFest 2025 was an unforgettable experience, and we loved meeting so many partners, cloud enthusiasts, and industry leaders. A huge shoutout to our partner Elemento Cloud for their collaboration in making these moments happen!

We’re already counting down to CloudFest 2026 – see you there!
