Logo guidelines

UpCloud logo margue with logotype

Horizontal lockup

The UpCloud logo is composed by combining two elements: the cable marque (symbolizing a cloud, a flexible data centre and a cable) and the logotype. This is our most commonly used format. Usually used in the most spacious layouts.
UpCloud vertical logo

Vertical lockup

A smaller compact version for the tightest spaces, like app design.

Cable marque

You can use the cable marque alone only in rare instances, for example as a profile on social media. Try to always use the cable marque and logo as horizontal or vertical lockup.

Safe area, size and colour

Safe area

Respect the safe area when using the appropriate logo. Pay attention to the size ratio according to the purple circle indicated in the example.
UpCloud minimum size allowed for the logo

Minimum size

Respect the minimum size required for the logo. The marque size shouldn't be smaller than 24px.

Primary colours

We have five primary brand colours. All based on the awesome 24-hour service UpCloud delivers. They are all as important as the other. So you are free to choose the primary colour you prefer. When in doubt which colour to choose go with Midnight Purple.

Logo and the colour

Here are some examples to show how we use the primary colours in the logo. We change the cable logo colours only. The logotype can only be black or white. The background can only be black, white or transparent.

Few things you should avoid when using the logo

Logos don’ts

UpCloud logo don'ts
Don’t skew, stretch or rotate the logo. Always use horizontal or vertical lockups. Don’t use the logotype without the marque. Don’t change the logo proportions, remember the minimum size.
UpCloud don'ts
Don’t use busy backgrounds. Don’t use shadows, stokes and any other effects. Don’t use the colours that aren’t primary.
