We truly believe that enterprise-grade performance and reliability should be available to every SMB company. With this thought in mind, we developed our own storage technology MaxIOPS.
It’s explicitly built to give you the best I/O performance per dollar, without sacrificing any reliability. We have actually limited the performance to 100,000 IOPS per virtual disk to ensure high performance at all times. As a result, we offer one of the fastest block storage that is often twice as fast as standard enterprise-grade SSD.
Industry leading IaaS marketplace analyst Cloud Spectator has chosen UpCloud twice as #1 performance leader in Europe among 10 top European cloud providers (DigitalOcean, Azure, AWS, Google, 1and1, CenturyLink, Rackspace, OVH, and Softlayer).
“UpCloud displayed the highest CPU and Memory performance overall”
UpCloud lets you choose what fits in your needs. You can select one of the Simple plans or choose CPU, RAM and Storage individually with our Flexible planning.
Resources are billed by the usage. If you shut down a Cloud Server configured with our Flexible plan, you only pay for the reserved storage and IP addresses.
DigitalOcean pricing does not provide you with the freedom of scaling resources independently (i.g. RAM, Storage, CPU). For example, to scale an application your only option is to switch to the next available plan tier and increase your overall costs.
UpCloud provides you with both Linux and Windows server options. Choose from your favourite Linux distributions or use the latest Windows Server to deploy your cloud services.
UpCloud is a part of the Microsoft License Mobility Program and Authorised Mobility Partner. This allows you to migrate existing workloads to UpCloud without any license hassle!
DigitalOcean doesn’t support Windows servers.
