Kubernetes is already well known across the DevOps space and barely needs introductions. It offers production-grade container orchestration with automated deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. Building on Kubernetes you have the freedom to take advantage of on-premises, cloud infrastructure, or anything in between.
Kubernetes feels right at home on cloud servers and UpCloud is fully committed to supporting the open-source container platform. Regardless of whether you just wish to see what all the fuss is about or are preparing to give wings to a whole new web service, deploying Kubernetes in the cloud can always be the right solution.

Kubernetes Finland
A new meetup initiative Kubernetes Finland is on a mission to boost Kubernetes and Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tech adoption in Finland. The initiative was founded by Lucas Käldström, a Kubernetes maintainer and a CNCF Ambassador. Despite his young age, Lucas has already been involved in the Kubernetes project for years and even had the chance to speak at the KubeCon Europe in spring 2017.
As currently one of the fastest-growing open-source projects in the world, it is great to see Kubernetes also gain a following in Finland. We at UpCloud are excited to take part in the Kubernetes Finland community by hosting their very first meetup in Helsinki.
October Meetup
Kubernetes Finland is organizing their first Kubernetes and CNCF related meetup where anyone can take the stage. On Wednesday, the 4th of October, starting at 6 pm, everyone is invited. Come to learn more about Kubernetes and other CNCF related projects like Prometheus and Fluentd. You can find the full agenda for the evening planned by Kubernetes Finland on their blog. You can also still sign up for the event at the Kubernetes and CNCF Finland meetup page to let others know you will be attending.
We are proud to be sponsoring the event and providing the venue for the evening: the UpCloud headquarters at Eteläranta 12, 00130 Helsinki.
Come to grab a snack and a drink, talk to other Kubernetes enthusiasts, and have a great time!
Update the morning after:
The meetup was a huge success, thank you to everyone for coming! If you couldn’t make it or would like to refresh your memory, you can watch the recording of the presentations courtesy of Emblica on their YouTube channel.
